FairlawnGig and Fiber Internet in Copley
Copley township is working with Summit County to offer fiber internet to the township similar to the City of Fairlawn's FairlawnGig service.
The township has been interested in offering better internet options in the past, but the cost prevented them from moving forward. Now there is renewed interest and resources as the county is working to connect all 31 communities in Summit County, with each municipality able to come up with their own plan. There is new infrastructure funding available that can help make this a reality.
The county and township have been meeting and are actively seeking to move forward. Please write our trustees to show your support if you would like to have more options for internet choice to ensure lower prices and higher speeds as we increasingly work, learn, and play from home through the internet.
