Summit for Fiber

The city of Tallmadge is exploring options to improve broadband, and is considering creating a city-operated fiber internet utility, similar to the City of Fairlawn's FairlawnGig service.

There are now additional resources available to the city as the county is working to connect all 31 communities in Summit County, with each municipality able to come up with their own plan. There is new infrastructure funding available that can help make this a reality.

The city needs your feedback to determine the course they take. Please take the city's online survey to show your support if you would like to have more options for internet choice to ensure lower prices and higher speeds as we increasingly work, learn, and play from home through the internet.
